All competition music must be clean, submitted in advance, and brought with a backup copy on the day of the event. These guidelines help ensure a safe, professional, and family-friendly environment for all dancers and guests.

Studio Representation & Performance Levels

Studio Representation

Danceology is a studio-based competition and does not accept independent entries. All performers must be registered by and compete under their home studio. Independent or unattached entries will not be accepted. Danceology reserves the right to verify studio affiliation and refuse any entry that does not meet this requirement.

Performance Levels

Studios are responsible for placing dancers in the appropriate level. Danceology reserves the right to adjust an entry if it is determined to be entered incorrectly.

Age Divisions

Age is determined as of January 1 of the current competition season.

Groups
Group ages are determined by averaging the ages of all performers. Any decimal is dropped.

Limits

Entries exceeding the published time limit may receive a point deduction.

Props

Props are welcome but should be manageable, safe, and respectful of the venue. Studios are responsible for loading and removing all props promptly.

Danceology reserves the right to prohibit any prop considered unsafe or damaging to the venue.

Music

All music must be uploaded through the registration portal prior to the event. Studios should also have a backup copy available at the competition.
